Compensation for loss

Inevitably, on occassion, the government can cause damages in the execution of its tasks. This can also happen when the government acts fully whitin the law. In certain cases, injured parties can and must be compensated for this. These injured parties themselves, however, must undertake action in order to obtain the envisioned compensation. One familiar example of compensation of loss is compensation for loss resulting from government planning decisions (planning blight) which is regulated by law. In other cases, regulations on compensation for loss apply, but can also be the case that the right to compensation for loss can exist without regulations being applicable.
